We are enjoying the “vegetables of our labor”. The broccoli is all harvested except for this last double head. We left some plants in the ground, hoping they’ll produce a little more. The cabbages are finally getting heads on them. They’ve only been in the ground 3 months. The cauliflower hasn’t produced heads yet either, having been planted the same time as they broccoli and cabbage. Perhaps too much nitrogen in the ground?

Ooooh, yummy! We have a good two weeks yet before we can plant broccoli starts, then the have to get ready yet. Can’t wait!
Ahh the wisteria is gone! I do like your cabbage picture, though. Was your new header picture taken in that field at the intersection of Old Screven and Empire that’s for sale? We had looked at buying that property before we bought ours almost 2 years ago.
Do you all have a garden?? I did last year with my housemate for the first time…this year again! it is so nice to have fresh garden stuff right off your property
