About Me

I’m next-to-the-youngest in a family of eight. I’ve lived in southeast Georgia all but 3 years of my life, so you will see quite of bit of local Georgia scenes. Along with photography, my hobbies include reading, sewing and traveling. My former blog was subtitled Finding Beauty in God’s Creation. I find it is in looking with purpose, sometimes it’s even in the small things, that we can find God’s fingerprints in our lives, both scenery and people.

I shoot with a Canon 60D, for those who care to know! 🙂 Lenses include the Canon 18-200 IS f/3.5/5.6 and a Sigma 24-70 f/2.8.

Mary Lou… it was like flash back to days gone by for me to see you at Grandma Schrock’s funeral. You and Lois were always friendly and kind when we came to Jesup through the years. I just want to bless you for that. By accident (well, I don’t think anything is by accident ?) I ran across your blog today and wished I had had more time to visit with you there in Ohio. Steve and I live in Blue Creek, Toledo, Belize. We are almost at the 2 year mark, which is hard to believe! Our oldest Connor is 14, McKenzie is 10, Tyrone is 7 and Ryker is 5. They love living here for the most part and as houseparents we enjoy a lot of people, activity, and life!! I am curious what you are up to. I saw a picture from an exotic far away place you took in “Daughters of Promise” magazine, so I take it that travel fills some of your time! Come to Belize if you ever get the chance! We have rustic accommodations and outhouse facilities for our guest houses!? blessings on your day… Karla (Schrock) Nisly

So good to hear from you, Karla! Wish too we could have caught up a little at your Grandma’s funeral. So good to see you and you family. I don’t think I’ve seen you since your grandparents moved to OH. And yes, I went on a lovely trip last fall with some of my nieces. You can find many more pictures here on the blog. Blessings to you in your family as you serve in Belize!

I'd love to hear from you! Feel free to leave a comment.
