Flowers – Saturday May 24, 2008

     I needed a little break from finishing the wedding pictures so here are a few blossoms from my mom’s yard. She’s got quite a variety and this is only a few. I was amazed to see her beautiful calla lily plants. The only time I’ve ever seen them is in a bouquet. It was a treat to see them in a flower garden.

 Ps 96:6 Honor and majesty are before Him;
Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.

 Ps 96:9 Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness!
Tremble before Him, all the earth.

 2Co 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,
he is a new creation; old things have passed
away; behold, all things have become new.

Well, actually these hydrangeas came from the courthouse, not Mama’s garden.

God bless you as you seek the beauty of His creation where ever you are!

  1. what a beautiful post…thanks for sharing the lovely flowers with us!

    also, thanks for your advice and input about the camera. i am now the happy owner of a canon rebel xti camera…although i know very little about the thing. yikes…that’s scary 🙂 want to come spend a few weeks in thailand and give me lessons on how to use it??? guess i’ll have to put my nose into the instructions manual so i can learn. I’m also planning to take a course with IPS in July. hopefully it won’t be too far over my head.

    anyways….i enjoy keeping up with your life through xanga. have a wonderful week!

  2. Simply beautimous!  Our gardenias aren’t blooming yet, but there are lots of buds just waiting–and I can’t wait, either!  We have three blue hydrangea bushes at church that look just like your pictures.

  3. You do such beautiful work MaryLou!!  I love the way you framed and edited the gorgeous pictures of your mom’s flowers!  The wedding pics are neat too….you sure have talent!!  “Maybe” we’ll see you at my cousin Myra’s wedding?  Our baby is due July 17, so….we’ll have to wait until closer time.  I’d LOVE to go early of course (for more reason’s then Myra’s wedding too) !  Have a great weekend!

  4. Beautiful, beautiful! I love the depth of field on those… You really need to get your pictures out – somewhere! Magazines, files, something! They are just lovely!

  5. The antique place is Second Hand Rose, along 169, north of Jesup. The experience of walking through that house (and sheds in the backyard) will stay with you for a while. 😉 But very worth the experience.

    And, uh, the front door is not nuetral. I, er, checked with my husband about that one first. 🙂
